Acupuncture is a form of holistic medicine that uses extremely thin needles to activate the body’s natural healing response. It is used to relieve discomfort and pain in a variety of areas, including the back, neck, head, knees, ankles and more. Acupuncture can also aid easing a variety of health concerns, including allergies, anxiety, stress, fatigue, and vertigo.
Whether you’re looking to treat a specific condition or give yourself an opportunity to relax and rebalance, acupuncture can offer great benefits. We partnered with Franchesca Isaac of Flourish Acupuncture to provide quality acupuncture to the Philadelphia area!
Franchesca Isaac’s interest in acupuncture began shortly after obtaining her undergraduate degree in biology. She fell in love with the philosophy of Traditional Chinese Medicine while receiving treatments for severe menstrual cramps. She learned three styles of acupuncture, completed over 3,000 hours of coursework and completed 2.5 years of hands-on-experience before graduating from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City in 2011. Franchesca is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and provides her clients with pain-free relief through the art of acupuncture!
Cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion are included in your acupuncture session. Cupping allows for relief by placing suction cups on areas of discomfort. During gua sha, the acupuncturist will apply press-strokes to relieve pain. Small red dots may appear and will fade within 2-3 days. Moxibustion involves burning mugwort, an herb, to aid in healing. This helps to maintain general health and can strengthen blood.
